IMI Holdings, parent company to Industrial Magnetics, Inc., Prater Industries, and Sterling Systems & Controls, recently appointed Chris Stephens as their new Southeast Regional Manager.
Chris is a 2007 graduate of the University of Alabama, Birmingham, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. As a student, he was the team captain for UAB’s SAE formula car program, where he became fluent in GibbsCam and Hass CNC mill, as well as lathe software.
Since 2011, he has been with Motion Industries, most recently as a Material Handling Specialist. His previous work includes positions as a chassis systems engineer for North American Bus Industries, and in the maintenance department at US Steel, focusing on energy control procedures.
Additionally, Chris is a certified fluid power specialist and is certified on a variety of ASME platforms.
Dennis O’Leary, IMI’s Chief Business Development Officer, states, “I am excited to have Chris on board, as he’ll bring a new level of energy and professionalism to what many of us see as a region ripe for growth. His background will provide valuable expertise to IMI’s customers in meeting their design, engineering, and process improvement goals.”
