The HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) system is an internationally recognized method of identifying and managing risk in food safety programs and is necessary to meet regulatory and customer/audit expectations. HACCP is endorsed by CODEX, NACMCF, & GFSI, and is mandated by USDA and FDA regulatory requirements.
HACCP International provides certification for products, materials and services brought into food processing and handling which meet best practices in terms of food safety. This independent conformance certification provides validation of a product’s ‘fitness for purpose’ within food processing and handling applications.
To receive certification, products are simply, practically and scientifically assessed regarding all facets of food safety, their compatibility with HACCP based food safety programs, and their contribution to food safety.
The HACCP Certification Mark is confirmation, from an independent 3rd party product certifier, as to a non-food product’s ability to support the integrity and safety of food as demanded by industry expectations, legislation and GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) endorsed standards.
