Industrial Magnetics’ Low Profile Transporters®, used for the efficient transfer of steel blanks or parts in automated press-to-press, station-to-station, or robotic pick-and-place applications, were recently featured in an article in Stamping Journal magazine.
Transporters are magnetic end-of-arm tooling designed to directly replace vacuum cups with only minor tooling and valve adjustments.
Noting how certain characteristics of parts, such as holes, slots, ribs, ridges or bends, can present a challenge when trying to quickly & efficiently move parts in automated handling applications, the article discusses how magnetic tooling can offer flexibility in part pick-up points and increased processing speeds, while reducing tooling change requirements and shop air consumption.
The article can be found in the Stamping Journal’s September/October print edition, or online version.
