Half Hump Plate-In-Chute Magnet

Half Hump Magnet Separators feature a heavy-duty diverter-equipped Spout Magnet, which is positioned so that the offset flow of product flowing through the engineered hump chute is forced into the magnetic fields. The hinged magnet is gasketed and clamped tightly to the hump housing for maximum product and dust containment during processing operations. The magnet will also swing open for easy removal and cleaning of captured tramp metal.

Customer-specified inlet and outlet requirements can be accommodated using custom-designed housings, transitions (round or rectangular), flanges, and more. Half Hump Magnets are available with Manual, EZ, or Self-Cleaning model options.

EZ-Clean and Self-Cleaning Spout Magnets are designed to simplify the cleaning process and to increase processing line efficiency. These cleaning options feature spout spout-faced stripper pan that swings out of the product flow and away from the magnet to release collected metal. The EZ-Clean unit is operated manually by unclamping the magnet and pulling the assembly into the open position. The Self-Cleaning model operates on the same principle but uses either pneumatic cylinders or electric actuators to open and close the plate magnet at user-specified intervals. Standard units are designed for 45° to 60° chutes. Custom units are available for other chute angles upon request.
